Conditions Treated

The Caron Texas alcohol treatment and drug rehab facility treats young women with primary chemical dependency and addiction issues arising from the use of alcohol, marijuana, heroin and other opiates, prescription drug abuse, cocaine and other addictive substances such as benzos or designer street drugs. In addition, we provide treatment for conditions that are commonly prevalent in young women such as shame, anxiety, body image, sexual issues and sexual trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). As with any patient, at Caron Texas, our primary concern is to first address the chemical dependency of any young female patient and then to address other conditions that might be present.

At Caron Texas, the gender-specific alcohol treatment and drug rehab programs for young women include the development of a personalized treatment plan for each patient. Each patient initially undergoes medical detoxification in order to address her primary chemical dependency. While in detox, the patient will also participate in individual counseling and group counseling sessions. The behavioral counseling will help the young female patients to learn about addiction, begin to address other conditions such as body image or sexual trauma or co-occurring conditions such as bi-polar or depression.

During her substance abuse treatment at Caron Texas, each young woman will become more aware of the need for a plan for recovery. The Caron treatment program, based as it is on a 12-Step model, will help her on her road to recovery.
