Conditions Treated

The Caron Texas alcohol treatment and drug rehab facility treats young men with addiction issues arising from the use of alcohol, marijuana, heroin and other opiates, prescription drug abuse, cocaine and crack and other addictive substances such as meth, benzos or designer street drugs. In addition, we also address conditions that are commonly prevalent in young men such as anger and anger management, coping and communication skills, anxiety, sexual issues and trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). At Caron Texas, our principal focus, however, is first on the chemical dependency and secondarily other conditions that might be present in the case of a an individual patient.

As with any patient of Caron Texas, the gender-specific and gender-separate treatment programs for young men include the development of a personalized treatment plan for each patient. Each patient first enters into a medical detoxification phase of treatment in order to address his primary chemical dependency. While in detox, the patient will also participate in individual counseling and group counseling sessions. The behavioral counseling will help the young male patients to learn about addiction, begin to address other conditions such as anger or trauma or co-occurring conditions such as bi-polar or depression.

During his substance abuse treatment at Caron Texas, in addition to learning about addiction and relapse prevention, each young man will become more aware of the need for a plan for recovery and life after treatment has ended.
