Young Adult Males
Understanding Young Adult Males
Caron Texas addresses the issues of chemical dependency, mental health concerns, and psycho-social development for young men between the ages of 18 and 25. We recognize that young men of this age range often struggle to establish their own identity. This can occur as a result of “feeling caught” developmentally between adolescence and young adulthood.
Dedicated Treatment Team
Our inpatient treatment program for young adult men offers each patient an individualized treatment plan in a gender-separate, gender-specific, and age-specific environment, based on the 12-Step philosophy. All of the programs at Caron Texas are staffed by clinical professionals who are dedicated to the highest standards of quality, compassionate care.
Each young man in treatment works with a multi-disciplinary treatment team dedicated to establishing an individualized treatment plan that focuses on the patient mentally, physically, and spiritually. The team is well versed in disciplines such as medical detoxification, psychiatry, psychology, counseling, spiritual guidance, nursing, and other specialties such as age-appropriate life skills. Patients participate in individual, group and family counseling, therapeutic activities, informative lectures, and continuing care planning.
Specialized Treatment Program
Not only does Caron Texas treat the primary addiction issues of young men arising from a chemical dependency, but we also help these men, through specialty groups that address such topics as:
- Anger management
- Addiction Interaction Disorder (AID)/Cross addictions
- Grief and loss
- Entitlement and narcissism
- Compulsive behaviors
Within this structured environment, and through establishing relationships with both peers and staff, young men discover and build a solid foundation for a life of recovery.
