Treatment Programs

Adult women participating in residential alcohol treatment and drug rehab programs at Caron Texas receive personalized services based on their individual needs. Each personalized treatment plan consists of medical detoxification (when necessary), individual counseling, group counseling sessions and family counseling services. Co-occurring conditions such as trauma, anxiety and depression may also be addressed during a women’s inpatient treatment program, but Caron Texas looks first to address the primary chemical dependency of the patient before addressing other mental health concerns.

Caron Texas treatment programs for women encourage female patients to address gender-specific conditions including shame, sexual trauma and relationships. It has been Caron’s experience that women are more likely to address these types of conditions in a gender-separate environment and are more likely to experience better results from alcohol and drug treatment.

In determining the optimum alcohol treatment and drug rehab treatment program for female patients, Caron uses guidelines developed in conjunction with screening criteria developed by the American Society of Addictive Medicine (ASAM). These screening criteria include specific attention to each woman’s primary chemical dependency and possible co-occurring conditions that may present at the time of evaluation. In addition, the Caron Texas addiction specialists look to evaluate the patient’s home environment as it relates to family and aftercare recovery support.

Spiritual counseling is also an important part of the substance abuse treatment care at Caron Texas. In addition, while in treatment, patients also have access to exercise and nutrition advice from Caron staff and on-campus workout facilities.
