Adult Women

At Caron Texas, the women’s drug rehab and alcohol treatment programs are gender-separate and are designed so female patients will be able to deal with gender-specific issues in a safe environment.

The adult women's program is generally comprised of women in their late 20’s and older.  Caron’s experience is that women experience superior results during alcohol and drug treatment when the primary care program is designed specifically for females and allows them the safety to address issues most common to their age group.

During their substance abuse treatment at Caron Texas, women participate in individual and group therapy sessions, informative lectures and continuing care planning. Within this treatment structure, gender-separate services are provided to enhance the development of female support systems and focus on concerns important to women. Women are more likely to express themselves in gender separate groups and are often more willing to share about important issues such as shame, parenting, sexual trauma and body image. This type of environment increases the opportunities for success in recovery.

All of the programs at Caron Texas are staffed by clinical professionals dedicated to the best quality, compassionate care. Each person in treatment works with a treatment team including several disciplines: psychiatry, psychology, social work, counseling, spiritual guidance, nursing, and other specialties. Caron Texas builds its staff around experienced, highly accomplished clinicians, many of whom are in personal recovery.
