Treatment Programs
The Caron Texas inpatient alcohol treatment and drug rehab facility treats adult men with addiction and substance abuse issues arising from the use of alcohol, marijuana, heroin and other opiates, prescription drug abuse, cocaine and crack and other substances such as meth, benzos or steroids. The primary focus of the adult male substance treatment at Caron is first to eliminate the chemical dependency from abused substances and then to deal with any mental health issues and other conditions through individual and group counseling and family counseling sessions.
At Caron Texas, the principal focus of any alcohol treatment and drug rehab program is first to address the chemical dependency and secondarily other conditions that might be present in the case of an individual patient. As an example, a male patient at admission may initially show signs of depression, a co-occurring condition. Following medical detoxification (if necessary), through early counseling treatment and continued evaluation, the professional addiction staff at Caron Texas may determine that this male patient may not actually suffer from depression. In addition to evaluation and identification of possible co-occurring conditions, at Caron Texas we address conditions that are commonly prevalent in men such as anger and anger management, coping and communication skills, anxiety, trauma and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The residential alcohol treatment and drug rehab programs for men include the development of a personalized treatment plan for each patient. Each patient, when necessary, enters into a medical detoxification phase of treatment in order to address his primary chemical dependency. While in detox, the patient will also participate in individual counseling and group counseling sessions. The behavioral counseling will help the male patients to learn about addiction and begin to address other conditions such as anger or trauma or control issues. During his substance abuse treatment, each Caron patient will become more aware of the need for a plan for recovery and life after treatment has ended.
