Inpatient Relapse Program Details
Caron offers a specialized, residential relapse program for adults, with up to a 45-day stay to address and explore relapse patterns and triggers. This program is available at Caron Pennsylvania. The goal is to develop strategies and interventions to disrupt and eliminate these patterns. Caron’s Relapse Program is an intentionally designed co-ed program that provides supported opportunities for patients to relate to members of the opposite sex in a healthy manner. This allows for better assessment and identification of potential relapse triggers that may occur following treatment, particularly within 12-Step recovery environments.
The Caron Relapse Program offers specialized groups that focus on the main causes of relapse:
- Family history
- Early onset
- Severe post-acute withdrawal
- Mental health issues
- Other compulsive behaviors
- Chronic pain
The program also focuses on the critical components that relapse patients require:
- Individualized treatment goals and practices
- Evaluation of each individual's 12-Step efforts
- The renewal of one’s spirit
- Personal accountability
- Skill development
- Spiritual connection and practice
- Family involvement
Ongoing assessments are conducted during relapse treatment in order to develop an individualized continuing care plan for each patient. With a goal of offering every patient his or her best opportunity for a life of recovery, staff members work with patients and their families to determine the appropriate next level of care.
