Relapse Prevention
By its nature, chemical dependency is a chronic disease and therefore the potential for relapse exists. Relapse prevention is an integral part of a patient’s individual treatment plan and while in treatment at Caron Texas each patient not only learns about the disease of addiction, he or she learns about their own, personal addiction. The patient comes to know what causes relapse in general and what are their specific relapse triggers and behaviors.
At Caron Texas, each patient receives a personalized treatment plan, serviced by a treatment team of Caron addiction professionals, including a psychologist, addiction counselor, medical staff and pastoral care counselor. Patients participate in individual and group therapy, therapeutic activities, daily lectures, including relapse prevention and continued care planning. With this structure, each and every individual who comes to Caron for treatment is given the tools to help form a solid foundation for a life of recovery.
