Recovery Care Services – For Patients
Every individual who comes to Caron Texas for treatment is given the opportunity to live a life of sobriety, serenity, and sustained recovery. After treatment, we want our patients to know that they are not alone; that someone from Caron will be available to help them get through the first day after they leave Caron Texas. The same is true for the first week, first month and the first year.
Recovery Care Services (RCS) Specialists help the recovering patient balance the ups and downs of recovery and provide guidance on the areas of the patient's recovery that need work.
Some details of the RCS program follows:
- Monthly phone calls for one year after discharge.
- In-depth look at 12-Step participation, aftercare attendance, and social/family support.
- Reinforcement and review of the continuing care plan that was established while in treatment.
- Referral information and assistance when necessary.
- Reminders about Caron alumni activities, workshops and retreats.
- After one year of participation in the Recovery Care Services program, patients receive a certificate of completion and a coin to celebrate their first year of sobriety.
- Periodic Recovery Care Services calls to family members to focus on their own recovery program according to the principles of Al Anon.
