Inpatient Primary Care - Length of Stay
Statistics show that the longer an individual is engaged in formalized treatment care and services, the more significant is their recovery rate and chances for sustained recovery. At Caron Texas, the average range of stay for primary alcohol and drug treatment care is four to six weeks. During that period, the patient will receive evaluation and assessment services, medical detoxification to address issues involving chemical dependency (when necessary), individual counseling, participate in group counseling sessions and receive family counseling services.
Although the Caron Texas treatment program typically lasts from four to six weeks, certain patients may transfer to one of Caron’s extended care facilities if additional treatment services are needed. The length of stay at Caron's various extended rehab services and treatment programs varies from one individual to another. As the primary treatment care for alcohol or drug dependency and possible co-occurring conditions progresses, the patient and their addiction counselor and treatment team will be in a position to evaluate any need for extended treatment care.
