Inpatient Extended Care Treatment

Depending on the results of the primary substance abuse treatment program, the patient and individual addiction counselor and medical staff will be in a position to evaluate any need for extended care treatment. If extended addiction treatment is deemed necessary, the addiction staff at Caron Texas will refer individuals to residential extended care.

Caron Treatment Centers has excellent extended care facilities in Pennsylvania and at Caron Renaissance in Florida, so patients can be referred within Caron. Extended care, like primary treatment programs at Caron, is gender-separate and gender-specific, supporting a gradual integration back into the family, social and work environment. Patients participate in 12-Step work, group and individual counseling, as well as family sessions.

Caron Texas can also refer patients to other clinics, based on patient needs, geography, financial status or even legal reason. All factors are considered to ensure that a person gets the best possible aftercare.

Research indicates that patients who are actively engaged in a comprehensive aftercare program have greater recovery rates.
