Pastoral Services
A weekly inter-faith spiritual service is offered at Caron Texas. The pastoral services at Caron Texas do not focus on one particular spiritual belief. During any service there may be a reading from Catholic scripture or a reading from the Hindu faith. There could be messages from Judaism or Islam or Buddhism or from Christian doctrine. All these traditions of faith are treated equally in our chapel services.
In addition to group pastoral services, the Sunday inter-faith service and individual spiritual counseling, Caron Texas provides a “Spiritual Awareness” group program to benefit alcohol and drug treatment patients in recovery. In these group spirituality sessions, a counselor leads the group through discussions about spirituality that are based on 12-Step program fundamentals.
Grief groups are also offered through the spiritual care department for those dealing with grief issues that impact their addiction or grief issues caused by the loss of dreams because of their addiction.
Patients may also choose to meet with a spiritual care professional individually to address specific blocks in their life around spirituality such as belief system, grief, hopelessness, etc.
Caron Texas will also work with individuals who have unique spirituality needs and desire a connection with their faith group outside of Caron Texas.
