12-Step Recovery Contacts

One of the most crucial services that Caron provides to its alumni is connecting newly discharged patients with a 12-Step recovery contact. This responsibility is an important commitment and helps to bridge the gap between treatment and the 12-Step community. This approach of connecting the recovery community with "newcomers" is often a key ingredient in the success of ongoing, long-term recovery.  To learn more about becoming a 12-Step Recovery Contact, contact us.

Recovery Care Services for Caron Patients & Family

Caron’s Recovery Care Services (RCS) Program helps Caron patients improve their chances for recovery with monthly phone calls to the former patient and a family member to support an individual through their critical first year of sobriety. As a supportive system, RCS is there to help individuals navigate the often complex path to that first year milestone. RCS helps individuals by holding them accountable to attend meetings and continued treatment, obtaining and speaking to their sponsors and often times their family members, keeping them connected to other Caron alumni in their area, keeping them connected to Caron, and most importantly, having faith in the individual’s ability to make it. When an individual is struggling to maintain sobriety, RCS is here to provide them the necessary guidance and referrals  to get them back on track and into treatment, if necessary. RCS also helps the families find the support they need and provides referrals to such places as parent support groups. The RCS team is comprised of credentialed Caron clinical and support staff who work as an outreach team to keep the recovery continuum going for our newly sober alumni.
